Description

A less celebrated American tradition in France, the term "Halloween" is a contraction of "All Hallows Eve," which means "the eve of all saints." Traditionally, on Halloween evening, children dress in scary costumes and go door-to-door in their neighborhood asking for candy, saying "Trick or Treat!" which means "candy or a spell!" in French.
