Start with a comfortable hotel pickup from Las Vegas. Stop by Hoover Dam for a photo stop, a rest stop in Kingman, Arizona, a photo stop on Route 66, and arrive at the Grand Canyon.
As the driver parks, you can go souvenir shopping. Then, take a leisurely walk on the upper rim trail at the Grand Canyon. The scenery changes every step and your guide will help you take pictures, and explain the geology and formation of the Grand Canyon.
Stop for a picnic lunch, and enjoy an easy, 3-hour walk. Set up for the golden hour and watch the sun gracefully slip behind the west rim of the Grand Canyon, seeing the color and glow of light slip to night.
