Description

Gather at Christopher Park, one of the only locations on the National Register of Historic Places listed for its LGBTQ significance, for guest check-in and an overview of the tour. In the park, learn about the role of this location in the Pride Movement and the unjust treatment of members of the LGBTQ community leading up to the Stonewall Uprising.

Next, proceed to the Stonewall Inn, where your guide will shed light on the history of Stonewall and the story of the uprising. Continue to the Oscar Wilde Memorial Bookshop to learn about the site's significance and the story of its founder.

See the Gay Street sign and hear about its coincidental naming. Visit the Pride Flag and the site of the first Pride March, all the while absorbing the fascinating history of the LGBTQ community. Visit the LGBTQ bars Julius, Fedora, and Marie’s Crisis, and finish back at Christopher Park.
